I am an author and freelance writer.

That means I write for a living and yes, it is really possible.  I recently co-authored my first book “I Garden Urban Style” with my good friend Reggie Solomon.  The book  is in production now, scheduled to be published in December 2010 by Betterway Books / F+W Publishing.  After writing the book on urban gardening I decided that I wasn’t challenging myself enough, so in the Summer of 2010 I took a leap of faith and began living my dream of homesteading and farming on a small 10 acre tract in the rural south. 

I am currently working on my first cookbook, a collection of my own personal recipes that combine my love for good food with my passion for saving money and living a greener, more frugal lifestyle.
